New Zealanders At War

This resource is designed to help your students understand the timeline of wars New Zealanders have been invovled in happened. There are 13 wars starting with the Battle of Te Hīngakākā in the late 1700s and finishing with the Iraq War which started in 2003. Each of the 13 wars has a text, that I have created, and an information gathering activity. As part of this activity they will ask questions about the war and research to find the answers.
 
There are a number of ways this reading/research based resource could be used in a classroom; for shared whole class reading, individual work or in small groups.
